I have gradually replaced most of the door handles in my Edwardian house with the these beautiful ebonised door knobs, that look great, wonderfully in period, and are warm and smooth to the touch. Excellent service from this company. There was a small issue with one set, which were replaced at top speed and without question. Plenty of spare grub screws etc thoughtfully supplied.

Found these online and they are the perfect replacement for our 100 year old handles that are starting to fail. Arrived promptly, well packaged and with all the fittings needed. Plus at a great price that means I'll be able to replace them all come time.

The quality of this door know set is excellent and makes the price seem like very good value. My only slight criticism is that fitting would be easier with an "idiots" guide as the method was unfamiliar and I am not used to having bits left over ( 2 grubscrews), which was confusing.

We needed to furnish 9 doors that had been replaced, found these on line, you are always dubious when you see things on the internet, when they arrived they were well packaged and to be fair they are a good quality and a very reasonable price, I would recommend!!.

We have researched numerous suppliers both direct & on ebay.
These compare well with other versions but are the best price and upon receipt proved to be great quality and well made, really pleased with them.
Fitted both rim locks and straight onto the door.
One peice of advice though, the screws can break if screwed in without drilling a small guide hole first, so my tip is pre-dill part way into the wood for easier and better screwing in.

Absolutely beautiful doorknobs

Pretty good quality, and generally I am pleased. it would be nice if the design hid the screws or at least allowed the screws to sit flush in the countersunk area.

Excellent quality knobs. Very solid and the fact that are screwed through with a threaded spindle means that kids slamming doors won’t be ripping them off the doors (has happened!). I found the best way to fit them was to screw them up with the Facia plates on then drill and screw the plates. I will replace all the knobs in the house with these.

Found these online and bought 12. Unusual but based on an original authentic Victorian design and seem to be very robust and well made. Similar price to the much less attractive and lower quality offerings from the big chains. Highly recommended.

Purchased ten sets of these knobs to replace ones we bought from another supplier which were far inferior in quality and almost impossible to fit correctly.
The ones from the Vintage Door Knob Centre are more robust, have a better finished knob and have a thicker rose which makes them much easier to fit properly. They were a little bit more expensive but definitely worth paying the extra. One of the knobs was faulty but it was replaced without any fuss. They come well packaged and arrived quickly. More importantly they look stunning.

I had registered to be informed when these door handles became available again, as soon as I was notified I placed the order and had received them within 48 hours! They are just what I wanted and of good quality, can't wait to have them all fitted. In addition to the great service the price was great too as a lot less than comparable websites selling similar designs.

These are a great solid door knob, which look and feel good. I was replacing a number of old, knackered looking brass knobs in a Victorian home and these looks fantastic.
Just be careful though as these are not sprung. I had to replace some of the latches on my doors, to heavy duty latches, so that the knob sprung back into position. You might not need to do this, and I found I only needed to do this on certain doors, however it was a simple enough job and definitely worth doing.
These look really smart and are brilliant value for money.

As a repro these door knobs are great quality, at a great price and visually look the part. My only criticism would be the quality of the screws and we ended up replacing, but that could be because our doors are made from particularly hard wood?

Have ordered several of these for my house as look great with white doors, greys and blues and lots of comments about them. Wasn't sure about ordering them at first as a large 60s bungalow we were modernising but a friend of a friend who is also an interior designer talked me into it (as she has some) and I am so glad she did. They look fab!

I wanted to put our Victorian semi back to its period best. The door knobs are large and generally well made. They were fully adjustable for a perfect snug fit against the door. After the first one, fitting was really swift. I can recommend this product. Just make sure you want a bun handle this large, before ordering.

Ordered 6 pairs with matching keyhole covers on Mon morning, delivered 10 am next day to central Scotland. Lovely quality items look great on my original Victorian doors which had a mix of knobs and damaged or missing estucheons. I found the slotted screws very difficult to get the angle just right to get a flust fit on the rose but this a reflection of my carpentry skills and not the product which is excellent. Will be buying more for the other doors when ready. Thanks.

I am really disappointed with these. I bought 13 for my new house renovation earlier this year, and I thought they looked lovely when they arrived, I was really pleased. In less than six months, however, more than half of them have now got problems. Two have completely sheared off at the base. I have glued them back but they aren't holding well. The others simply won't tighten properly, and come off in your hand. I am not sure what to do now as I now have a house full of doorknobs that don't work and it will cost me a lot of money to replace them. Very sad. I really would advise you to buy something sturdier.

Excellent handles at a great price

As previous reviews have said these door knobs are a great purchase. I surfed the net and found what I thought were a good buy at 5 times the price of these. Fortunately the surfing continued! These door knobs look and feel great. I have replaced 7 existing ones on 2 floors and will probably do the next floor soon. As said previously the screws are a bit of a fiddle. The groove was too narrow for one screwdriver and I had to use a much smaller screwdriver that was too small to apply enough pressure to drive in all the way in. This does not really detract from a great quality product.

I ordered 16 Beehive handle pairs + 4 beehive lock covers pairs. The quality is excellent - the handles are weighty. Delivery was speedy. One of the 16 handle pairs was a brass finish by mistake instead of chrome. I rang up and a replacement was sent out immediately accompanied by a friendly apology.

I'm really happy with these. I love the design and the fact they are original in style but not too typical. I bought a dozen or so pairs and have used them throughout my Victorian house which I'm in the process of renovating. They look really smart on stripped panel doors and feel expensive though one small niggle is the screws are not that good quality but overall really good value for money and a great product - would thoroughly recommend.

These are absolutely great door knobs! We bought some similar but much more expensive last year, from another supplier and they came to pieces within months. But these door knobs are really well put together and withstand the battering from our children. They are a very pretty design too and are just perfect for our Victorian terrace.

These door knobs are a really good quality and look great on. They are easy to fit. The only fault is the screws which are not of a good quality and just split when trying to screw in, so went out and bought stronger screws, that is the only thing as when these are back in stock I am ordering another batch for my upstair doors!!!
